Carole graduated from Unity-Freedom High School in 1959 and the Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in 1962. She left Maine Medical Center in 1976 as Head Nurse of the Cardiovascular Unit. Carole worked for Dr. Donald W. Krause in Bangor from 1976 to 1994. Over the years, she held many positions, and ended her career in 2005 at Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor.
Carole was predeceased by her parents and brother Frank. She is survived by her brother Harland L. Crosby Jr. of Unity.
At Carole's request, there will be no funeral service. A Spring burial will be held at the Farwell Cemetery in Unity. Carole's family and friends would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she received at the Evergreen Unit of Woodlands Assisted Living in Waterville. (Morning Sentinel 1/10/2011)
