Dorothy McCulley
Dorothy Mae (Arrant) McCulley, 82, of Anahuac, Texas passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008 after her courageous battle throughout the years of illness. She was born on August 26, 1925 to Byron and Thelma (Eitel) Arrant in Alto, Texas. Dorothy was a true southern lady. She was a charter member of the Bayside Hospital Auxiliary and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Dorothy worked for over 39 years for Chambers County before she retired as Chief Deputy Clerk. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Anahuac.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Byron Arrant; mother, Thelma Martin; beloved step-father, Lester Martin; grandmother, Ella Knox; and uncle, Donald Eitel. She is survived by her loving husband 63 years, Robert McCulley; son, Richard McCulley of Washington, D.C.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening on Tuesday, July 22 at Sterling Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00 in the morning with Pastor Randy Carrion officiating. Those honored as pallbearers are Bill Bryant, Bobby Hall, Victor Mamich, Mark Schultz, David Vucinch, and David Kirkham.
