Coleson, James W., 84, of Mears, passed away June 7, 2000, at Lakeshore Community Hospital. He was born in Manchester, Iowa, the son of William H. and Amanda (Jeska) Coleson. He married Hilda Hux in Shelby, June 22, 1940. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and lived in the area most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Hilda of Mears; sons Harold (Martha) Coleson of Franklin, Ind., and Donald (Jeanne) Coleson of Holland; daughters Helen (Thomas) Fitz Patrick of Holland, Ruth (James) Musil of Hart, and Alice (Steve) Ordway of Shelby; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Virginia Coleson of Shelby and Maxine Coleson of White Cloud. Preceding him in death was a twin brother, Albert C. Coleson; sisters Pearl (Roy) Nelson and Esther (Frank) Shafer; brother, Grant Coleson. Funeral services Saturday, June 10, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the West Golden Wesleyan Church with Rev. Guy Rayle and Rev. Dennis Cook officiating. Interment in the Mears Cemetery.
