Steven R. Behling passed away at LDS Hospital on January 7, 2011 after a courageous bout with cancer.

He was born March 9, 1955 in Provo, Utah to Norman Richard and Lora Lee (Larsen) Behling. He grew up in Midvale, Utah then served a mission for the LDS Church in Australia returning home to finish his education at Utah State University. He married Karol Lynn Kinney on November 23, 1991 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife Karol, sons Daniel Norman, Benjamin Joseph, Christopher Reed, foster son Sammy Jo Hennessy, mother Lora Lee, and brother Michael Reed. He is preceded in death by his father Norman.

Steve lived his life in service to others, often taking care of the widowed and anyone who needed a helping hand. Their needs came first. He was literally the guy who gave the shirt off his back. His family meant everything to him and he dedicated his heart and soul to their care. Steve's life of selfless giving, his calm and humble demeanor will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hidden Hollow Ward Chapel, 1954 East Antelope Drive, Layton, Utah. Family and friends may gather from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the Ward Building prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
