MARY GARNER
"Mellie" passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the age of 93. She was born on December 15, 1917, in Piney, Ar to Ernest and Susie Sublette. She was preceded in death by Willard Garner, her husband of 33 years. Mellie is survived by her niece, Kaye Miller and her husband, Harry; grand nephews, Justin and his wife Erin, of Turlock and Jonathan and his wife Arax of Fresno; great-grand nephew and niece Jacob and Brittany of Turlock; four sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special thank you to the staff of Elimcare for the tender loving care they provided. Visitation will be held at Clovis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Clovis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Lifeway Baptist Church, 4250 W. Bullard Ave., Fresno, Ca 93722.

MOSOULA – Mary Sue Lescantz, 76, left this world on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016.

Mary was born June 22, 1939, in Anaconda, an only child to Ernestine (Sublette) Lescantz and Mike Lescantz. She was baptized at St. Paul Catholic Church in Anaconda and attended St. Paul Elementary School in Anaconda.

Mary moved to Fresno, California, to live with her aunt Millie and uncle Willard Garner during her freshman year. She graduated high school and began working as a checker at Giant Foods. Mary missed the big sky state of Montana and returned in 1989. She attended the University of Montana College Of Technology and obtained a degree as a paralegal.

Mary was a devoted Catholic and attended daily Mass when able. She was a member of a Rosary prayer group for many years and was devoted to the Our Blessed Mother. She loved animals, especially cats. Mary attended Alcoholics Anonymous faithfully for 30 years. Several cousins survive her. Mary asked that donations go to the American Cancer Society.

Interment will take place at a later date at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Anaconda.
