Marie Field, 89, of Hominy, Oklahoma passed away December 23, 2010 at Mannford, Oklahoma. Marie was born March 3, 1921 at Garfield, Missouri to Syd and Della (Van Zant) Fletcher. Marie and Morris Field were married September 4, 1948 at Hominy, Oklahoma; they had been married 62 years. Marie had worked for 15 years at Munsingwear as a seamstress, at the Cedarvale Messenger Paper in Cedarvale, Kansas and Copper Country News in Bayard, New Mexico; working in the Ads Department at both newspapers. When she retired she did quilting and upholstery work with her friend Ruby. She also enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Marie was survived by her husband Morris of the home; one son- Dean Field of Jennings, Oklahoma; two sisters- Marjorie Panzer and Hazel Jones and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Brother- Carl, 2 sisters- Nadine Glass and Mae Harrington.

Funeral services for Marie were Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Hominy with Rev. David Mingus officiating. Music selections were "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", "Rock of Ages", "Amazing Grace" and vocalist was Frank Hudson. Casket Bearers were Bill Dilley, Bob Carter, Frank Hudson, Aaron Crawford, Jim Frazier, Roy Arians, and Honorary Casket Bearers Rex Mantooth and Sam Baldwin.

Interment was in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home.
