Parents were Absolem Walker and Nancy Caroline Karlee, Walker. Dosia was one of five children. Her siblings were 1 sister - Margaret "Maggie", and 3 brothers - Julius Alexander, Leon Homer, and Bird Kerlee.

Martha Theodosia married John Robert Adair about 1890. This union resulted in one son - Everett William Adair.

Around 1808 she divorced Mr. Adair. Sometime later she married a Jim Davis.
