Alice Blanche Burkhart went by her middle name of Blanche all of her life. She is buried under Blanche Strange, near her husband, Luther Strange. Her son, Carl Bernard, died while in the Navy and was buried in the National Cemetery at Chattanooga, Tennessee. The submarine he was in was hit by a ship in Dec 1927. All hands were lost. A second child lived a full life. A 3rd child died in infancy. Such was a difficult life for Blanche (Burkhart) Strange who passed from this life prior to her beloved husband. She is now at Peace with all members of her immediate family who have passed on.
