Major League Baseball Player. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he was an infielder making his debut for the Boston Red Sox on September 29, 1935. For four seasons, he played with the Boston Red Sox (1935-36) and Cleveland Indians (1937-38). He finished his career with a record of 83 runs scored, 184 hits, 7 home runs, 105 runs batted in and a .262 batting average. He died he died ftom respiratory failure due to emphysema on August 26, 1968, at the age of 59 in St. Louis, Missouri.
