Mary Ann Taylor Spencer was born April 20, 1928, to Eldridge Marshall and Sarah Ruby Johnston Taylor in Chickasha, OK. Mary Ann passed from this world at the age of 82 on January 10, 2011. Mary Ann married Jesse Warren Spencer August 18, 1947. The two were married for 53 years and enjoyed a wonderful life full of love, family and friends. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Jesse Warren Spencer, Jr.; her sister, Mildred Rowland; and her brother, Charles Taylor. Survived by daughter-in-law, Teresa Spencer of Tuttle, OK; two daughters: Jackie Asbery and husband Gene of Luther, OK; and Patti Cantrell and husband, Steve of Willis, OK; sister, Naomi Pierce and husband, Harvey of Eugene, OR; and brother, Jack Taylor and wife, Donna of Wheatland, OK; grandchildren: Angi Hogard and husband Chris of Oklahoma City; Jeff Spencer and wife, Carla of EI Reno, OK; James McCuddy of Wellston, OK; Amanda Gore and husband, Bryan of Tuttle, OK; Andy Cantrell and wife, Belinda of Houston, TX; Joey Cantrell and wife Elissa of Pottsboro, TX; and Jay Cantrell of Kingston, OK. Mary Ann was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary Ann was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time at the lake, cooking for her family and sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. Mary Ann loved life, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wed., January 12, 2011, in the Advantage South Chapel; burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
