Willard E. "Bill" Dunn, 87, of Valley Falls, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester. He was born April 18, 1923 at Topeka, the son of William Albert and Edith Lillian Morris Dunn. "Bill" was a 1941 graduate of Valley Falls High School. He was a Veteran of WWII and of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and 1951 to 1953. "Bill" worked as a Painter through the Painter's and Plasterer's Union Local # 80 in Mississippi. He had also served 16 years as a Police Officer and Detective for the Topeka Police Department. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Topeka and a member of the Painter's and Plasterer's Union Local # 80. He was married to Ella Virginia Stribling in 1968, she preceded hin in death on September 11, 2004. He is survived by two sons, Michael Edward Reece, Topeka, James Scott Reece, Portland, OR., one daughter, Mary Christine Reece,Topeka, one sister, Ella Mae Holding, Winchester, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin, William Albert Dunn and Leo Dunn and a sister, Mary E. Gibler. Cremation is planned. A Memorial Visitation Gathering will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Inurnment will be at a later date at the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery in Memphis, TN.,
