Mr. Marvin Hart, age 94, of 741 Steadman Church Rd., Tallapoosa, Ga., passed away June 29,2004. Mr. Hart was born March 19, 1910, in Cleburne, Al., to the late John and Mary Godwin Hart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maudie Hart Bentley, brothers, Grady Hart, Otto Hart and infant brother, Quincy Hart. Mr. Hart is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Smith Hart, of Tallapoosa, children, Kay Hart Ayers and Wayne, of Carrollton, Larry Gene Hart, of Tallapoosa, Anthony and Loretta Payne Hart, of Marietta, Mitchell and Catherine Owens Hart, of Douglasville; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; five nieces; seven nephews; sister, Nell Hart Laminack, of Fitzgerald, Ga.; and brother, Joseph Hart of Rome. Mr. Hart’s funeral service was held Friday, July 2, 2004 at 3:00 PM from Bethel United Methodist Church in Alabama with Rev. James Owens and Rev. Phil Eaves officiating. The eulogy was given by grandsons, Dr. Gregory Ayers and Kevin Hart. Music was provided by Harold McWhorter. Pall bears serving were Kevin Hart, Kristopher Fears, Dr. Gregory Ayers, Christopher Bentley, Charles Fillpot, Anita Fillpot, Dennis Bentley and Richard Bentley. Honorary pall bears were Bob Shealey, Donald Bell, Johnny Sheffield, Ronnie Kimball, Ronnie Ridley, Donnie Ridley, Ron Hart, Edward Hart, Punk Ward and Wayne Ayers. Interment followed in Bethel Methodist Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Tallapoosa, was in charge of arrangements.
