In the 51st year of his age∼ROSWELL BEEBE FRISBEE (Lieut. Col.) son of Philip and Sarah Beebe Frisbee, born in Canaan, N. Y., Dec. 26, 1786,
died in Canaan, Aug. 13, 1837.
Married ELVIRA WINCHELL,
daughter of William and Elvira (Moss) Winchell, born in Hartford, Ct., Jan. 24, 1787,
died in Canaan, N. Y., Sept. 16, 1863.

Roswell Beebe Frisbee served in the War of 1812. From 1809 till after 1824, he was an officer in the Seventy-third regiment, New York militia. -Frisbie/Frisbee Genealogy p. 158
