Robert Jack Rust, Sr., 71, of Terrell, passed away Jan. 7, 2011. Robert was born June 17, 1939 in San Bernardino, Calif. to William Ethan and Alice Mae (Laird) Rust. He served in the U.S. Army and married Susan Beth Janes on April 16, 1994 in Brownwood. He was a plumber before his retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Irene Johnston.

Mr. Rust's family that are cherishing the memories of his life are his wife Susan; son, Robert Jack Rust, Jr. of Long Beach, Calif.; daughter, Cheryl Kay Aguilar and husband Israel of Hobbs, NM; step-son, Sean Kidd and wife Amy of Midland; step-daughter, Stacy Pruitt of Terrell; two sisters, Bernnetta Byars Watkins and husband Steve and Darlene Sliger, both of Brownwood; two brothers, Jimmy Rust and wife Ashley of Bangs and Johnny Rust and wife Shirlie of Rhome; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family is planning a memorial service for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at Bangs Cemetery. His arrangements were made through Goggans Funeral Home and you can sign his guest book at www.goggansfh.com.
