Ruth (Butler) Duggan of Endicott Ruth (Butler) Duggan, 85, of Endicott, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 20, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Estella Butler; husband, Richard Duggan; and sister, Dorothy Murphy. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Schofield, Endwell; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Ethel Butler, Endwell; nieces, Marjorie Ellen Long and Francine Groat; nephews, Stephen Schofield, Edward Butler, and Mark Murphy; great-nieces, Erin Long and Kristine Butler; great-nephews, Eddie Butler and Ryan Murphy; stepchildren, Richard Duggan, Deirdre Audain, and Sue Simms; also several cousins and many dear friends. She was a life member of St. Ambrose Church, Endicott, a retired Kindergarten teacher with G.H. Nichols School, Endicott for over 40 years, a member of American Legion Post #82 Ladies Auxillary, Endicott, a former member of the Quota Club of Binghamton, also volunteer work at the Ideal Senior Living Center. Ruth enjoyed spending her summers at her cottage at Ouaquaga Lake for many years. She will be missed by her friends at Woodland Manor, where she resided until her death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 East Main St., Endicott, and 10 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Memorial Fund of St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760, or to the Alzheimer Assn. of the Southern Tier, 401 Hayes Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760.
