Feb 01, 2007 ... WORCESTER Allen W. LeFurgey, 60, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 in Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with Parkinson Disease. He leaves his devoted mother, Marjorie (Valva) LeFurgey of Worcester. He was born in Worcester, son of the late, William C. LeFurgey.

He graduated from North High School, and later attended a seminary. Allen received his Bachelor's Degree from Anna Maria College, in Paxton. He lived for several years in Florida and worked there as a butcher for several supermarkets. He returned to Worcester in 1994.

He was a communicant and lector at Saint Stephen's Church in Worcester. He enjoyed seeking knowledge through books and factual documents, and worked for a publisher as a proof reader. Allen also enjoyed traveling.

Allen's funeral will be held Friday, February 2nd from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10:30 am at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
