A memorial service was held May 15, 1994 at his home on Tarpon Lake, in Tarpon Springs, Fla., for William Rex Nowling Sr., 79, who died Saturday, May 7, 1994, at his home.
Born Aug. 10, 1914, in Brazil, Ind., he married his wife Edith in 1937, and she survives. He came to Florida from Greensburg in 1952. While in Greensburg he worked in the circulation department of the Greensburg Daily News. In Florida, he owned and operated Rex Barber shop in Clearwater for 25 years. He was a lifetime member of the Golden Eagle Olive Aerie 927 of Greensburg.
Survivors include his widow, Edith Nowling, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; a son, Rex Nowling, Largo, Fla.; three sisters, Wilhemine Nall, Naples, Fla., Grace Cramer, Paris, Ill., Joanne Sims of Clinton, Ind.; three granddaughters, one grandson, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by American Burial and Cremation Service of Palm Harbor, Fla.
