Roy Gilbert Tuttle Jr. was born to Roy and Lura Forsythe Tuttle on June 29, 1917. His parents and sister, Louise, died in the flu epidemic of 1918 leaving Roy as a baby to live with his mother's parents, Henry and Sarah Forsythe. His sister, Edith, was taken in my his father's family, John and Julia Tuttle.

Roy Lived in Carr Colorado until the death of his grandfather in 1923. His grandmother took him to live in Cheyenne where he grew up and went to school. His grandmother died in 1935 and Roy boarded with the Kaufholtz family and was an attendant at a filling station.

Roy met and married the English born Sybil Walley on October 12, 1940 in Kimball, Nebraska. They had two children, Phyllis and Tom. The family moved to California and Sybil died there in 1960.

Roy married Ester Wipple in 1961. She had two daughters by a previous marriage, Dixie and Bonnie.

Phyllis married Robert Houston and had 2 daughters, Judy and Patty. They were members of the Jim Jones Peoples Temple that went to Guyana, South America. Phyllis and the girls died there Nov. 18, 1983.

Roy died March 5, 2000 in Mukelumne Hill, California. He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, three grandsons and a granddaughter as well as two step-daughters.
