Prior to retiring he was employed with the State of Wisconsin at Kettle Moraine State Boys Home, Plymouth, and the State Hospital in Oshkosh, where he was groundskeeper.
Survivors include five sons, John of Washington, N.C., Martin of van Dyne, Roger of Phelps, Thomas of Oregon, Wis., and Douglas of Simpsonville, S.C.; two sisters, Inez Rideout of Phelps, and Bertha Kumolinen of Iron River, Mich.; four stepdaughters, Shirley Schaub, Alice Pucker, Betty Holzman, and Lorrie Reinhold; three stepsons, Harry Lange, Cliff Lange, and Donald Lange; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at Rogersville Cemetery.
The family request no flowers. Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen's Church, Rogersville.
