Katharine B. Lindenmuth, 87, Fleetwood, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, in her residence. She was the widow of Frank A. Lindenmuth, who passed in 1998. Katharine was born in Centre Township, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Nora K. (Blatt) Miller. She was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Molltown.
Katharine had worked at the former Fleetwood Shirt Corp., Fleetwood, for 22 years, retiring in 1985.
Katharine loved her family genealogy. She would collect information on the family trees of the Miller, Blatt and Lindenmuth families. The information was retained in many books that she would constantly update. Her other major interest was being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Robert K., and his wife, Suzanne (Snyder) Lindenmuth, Fleetwood; and daughter, Betty M. (Lindenmuth), wife of Joel Raifsnider, Fleetwood. Other family members are six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers: Kenneth B. Miller, Charles B. Miller and Clair L. Miller, all of Mohrsville; and Oscar B. Miller, Bernville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn J. Sell; brother, Gerald Miller; and sister, Ardell M. Bauscher. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 17, at noon at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. A viewing will be Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.
