Henry was a prominent figure on the California sports scene and father of actors Bill Henry and Tom Browne Henry. He was instrumental in bringing the 1932 Olympics to Los Angeles and was sponsor of such athletes who turned actors - Johnny Weismuller of "Tarzan" fame.
Henry died of a heart attack in Long Beach.
