He was born on February 13, 1961 in Manitowoc, son of Marlo (Weina) Mahlik and the late Melvin Mahlik. James was employed at Holiday House in Manitowoc for many years. He was an avid sports fan and loved our state teams, the Packers, Brewers and Badgers.
Survivors include his mother: Marlo Mahlik, Cleveland; three brothers: Joseph Mahlik, Cleveland, Daniel Mahlik, Manitowoc, David Mahlik and his fiancé, Denise Brendel, Sheboygan; six half sisters: Judy Blattler and Richard Baker, Rhinelander, Linda Wuringer and her husband Robert, Manitowoc, Janet Allbright-Nugent and her husband James, St. Louis, MO, Mary Long, Ooltewah, TN, Tina Winnekin and her husband Carl, Green Bay, Priccine McEwen, Cleveland; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. James was preceded in death by his father Melvin on July 10, 1995, an aunt: Marion Schrimpf; two uncles: Robert Mahlik and Ross Weina.
Funeral services will be held January 4, 2010 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Herman Hass. James will be laid to rest at St. Johannas Cemetery in the Village of Cleveland.
