From a newspaper:
Madeline Mary Chambers was the first born child of Jesse and Eva Pierce.
She inherited many wonderful qualities from her parents, one of which was her life long love of music.
In her teenage years, she played the guitar for square dances with her parents and sisters. Many family gatherings were enjoyed singing and playing her guitar along with other family members and she developed a recognizable style of her own.
Madeline's youth was during the Depression years. She was a hard worker and had a talent for saving and investments, becoming an accomplished business woman.
On September 24,1930 Madeline married David Chambers and remained a devoted wife for 51 years until his death. The fruits of this marriage are six wonderful children and their lives today reflect her many fine qualities as a mother. She was a grandmother of 25 and great-grandmother of 19.
Another love of Madeline's was her love of flowers; she had a great passion for flowers that was never satisfied. Her niece Becky Sines, of Waxahachie, Texas, described Madeline's home in her childhood memories as "Aunt Madeline's Jungle House."
Madeline was respected for her strong will, gracious manner, and determination to enjoy life in the face of heartbreak, tragedy or hard times. Even in sickness, Madeline Chambers remained radiant to all those around her.
Madeline's faith in God was a big influence in her life: she only found good in everyone and was a devoted Jehovahs Witness
