Andrew Mason Bowker born Jan 8, 1842 in Templeton, Masschusetts, son of Caroline and James Alfred Bowker, he was the youngest child.

He was a machinist until he joined the Civil War in what was called Chandler's Company, todays equal to the National Guard, he served 60 days as a private guarding this state's seacoast in Portsmouth, NH.

He then reenlisted in New Hampshire's 1st Heavy Artillary Regiment 16 Aug 1854, left New Hampshrie on 02 Sept 1854 and mustered out 15 June 1954 at Washington, DC.

He was pensioned. He died of consumption, November 10, 1865 in Manchester, NH, his mother Caroline then received his pension after his death.

His older brother James A Bowker joined the same NH regiment 2 days after his younger brother, they left NH together 02 Sept 1864 and mustered out the same day in Washington DC.

James was also pensioned and died of Thyphoid fever 11/14/1892.
