Ross, Carol O., 83, of Hart, passed away Monday, April 11, 2005 at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart. She was born Nov. 28, 1921 in Hart, the daughter of Clement O. McLouth and Muriel H. (Webb) McLouth. She married Lowell W. Ross Feb. 15, 1947. He passed away in 1995. She was an honor student at Hart High School and was an alumnus of West Shore Community College. Mrs. Ross was a life resident of Hart. She was a member of Hart United Methodist Church and the Hart Beautification Committee. She had been employed by General Telephone Company of Michigan and by Marvin's Pharmacy. She was a former public relations director for North Oceana Area Association of Girl Scouts. She was also a Brownie Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Ross was a member of the Hart Chapter Number 60 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Ross is survived by her brothers, Max I. McLouth of Shelby and Clement O. (Linda) McLouth, Jr. of Hart; sisters, Imogene Robinson of Hart, and Joanne (Rodney) Helms of Cherryville, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was Tuesday, April 19, 11 a.m. at Hart United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Lester officiating. Memorials to Hart United Methodist Church Youth are appreciated. Burial will be in Mears Cemetery. Arrangements by Harris Funeral Home, Shelby.
