Bertina S. Begier, 84, of Bloomfield, died December 9, 1992, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.
Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 12, at Brockhaus Scott Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Pastor Marcille Jensen officiated. Burial was in Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Nebraska. Pallbearers were LaNoy Norman, Tim Suhr, Joel Suhr, Tom Suhr, Jim Lovejoy and Kip Suhr.
Bertina Sophia Norman was born March 10, 1908, in Badger, Minnesota, the daughter of Erick and Thea (Olsen) Norman. She married Heinrich Fritz Begier on March 5, 1930, in Yankton, South Dakota. They lived in the Hartington, Wausa and Bloomfield areas.
Surviving are her husband, Henry; two sons, Roland (Donna) Begier of Tucumcari, NM, and Rodney (Marilyn) Begier of Miltona, MN; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mable Linblad of Battle Creek and Irma Hanson of Sioux City, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Selma and three brothers, Ben, Elmer and Obert Norman.
