Born Aug 7, 1888, in Burbank, Smethport RD1, he was the son of the Alonzo G and Lucille Preston Abbey. He was married to Miss Jennie C. Malen, East Smethport, in Smethport on Feb 10, 1910.
Surviving besides his wife are sons, Carl J, William J., Iver Leroy, Burdette Jr, and Homer Philip, all of East Smethport; daughters, Mrs. William Kennedy, Mrs. Wesley Eckstrom, East Smethport and Mrs. Raymond Larson, Eldred; 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; and sister Mrs. Lottie Belle Green, Bradford.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
