Clarence was baptized as an infant. He moved with his parents to California in 1912, and in 1913, they returned to farm northeast of the Guide Rock. He received his formal education attending school through the eighth grade in country school and graduated from the Guide Rock High School with the Class of 1926. He continued his education for another year and a half at the Grand Island Business College.
In 1931, he began his life's work farming for himself in the Guide Rock community. On April 29, 1937, he was united in marriage with Berniece Schupp. They lived and farmed together until moving into Guide Rock to make their home in 1975. Clarence and Berniece were privileged to celbrated (sic) sixty-one years of marriage. Clarence's greatest enthusiasm in life was his love of farming and he cherished the years they spent working the land. He was a loving husband and compassionate friend, who will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Opal Nass. Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Berniece of Guide Rock, Nebraska; a sister and brother-in-law, Nelma and Melvin Anderson of Red Cloud, Nebraska; several nieces, nephews; other relatives and a host of friends.∼Clarence Zuberbuhler was married to Bernice K.
