Ruby Van Tromp Fryer, 82, of Lindon, passed away Saturday, November 11, 1995 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 1, 1913 to Charles and Lucille Van Tromp in Bingham, Utah. She married Leonard George Fryer on June 25, 1932 in Salt Lake. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. She and her husband raised their children on their family farm in Lindon. She was a faithrul member of the LDS Church most recently having served as a visiting teacher. She worked at the Utah State Training School and was employee of the year several times before her retirement in 1979. She loved gardening, sewing, and cooking.

She is survived by five sons and three daughters: Reese (Silvia) Fryer, Lindon; Gary (Karma) Fryer, Lindon; Brent (Sharon) Fryer, Richland, Washington; Creig (Mary Lue) Fryer, Lindon; Jill (Kent) Walker, Springville; Judy (Ace) Ensign of Sacramento; Rodney (DeeAnn) Fryer, Lehi; Robyn Shepherd, Pleasant Grove; 37 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Charles Fryer. Additional survivors include two sisters: Vida Sorenson of California and Fern Mitchell of Riverton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lindon Sixth Ward Chapel, 25 North Main, Lindon. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove and at the church one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
