Roger was not only a classmate but a dear friend to me. We met in 5th grade and were instant friends. Along with his cousin Patrick Hendershot, we had many good times in school. He was a talented artist and drew many pictures for me. To this day I still have them. The last time I saw Roger was in Bloomington, Indiana when I ran into him at Dollar Tree. It was a pleasant surprise and we had a good visit. He seemed in good health so it was a shock that a few weeks later I found out that he passed away. I am so glad that I hugged him that day in Dollar Tree. We should always take time to hug those we love and care about for we never know when it will be the last time we will have the opportunity to do so. R.I.P. my friend. ((Hugs))
