Marine from Crete to Be Buried in N. C.

Military services for Marine Lance Corp. Charles M. Gattis Jr., 19, of Richton rd., Crete, will be held in Louisburg, N. C., when his body is returned from South Viet Nam. His family was notified he was wounded in action June 27 and died Wednesday. He enlisted in the marines in July, 1966, after being graduated from Crete-Monee high school. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edward C. Betus; his stepfather, Charles C. Betus; and a sister.
