Iowa Nadine Butler, 78 of Parkersburg passed away January 17, 2011 the the Wyngate Senior Living Community.

She was born in Vadus, WV the daughter of the late Burl Glen and Ethel Jane Hurst Sprouse.

She had at one time worked in sales at Broida's and Sears Department Stores. She was very active in Parkersburg South High School Band Boosters and helped start the annual craft sale for P.S.H.S. Band Boosters. She was very artistic and enjoyed woodcarving, crossstitching and was a wonderful seamstress making wedding dresses, prom dresses and many clothes for her children and husband. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed playing the yukalaylee. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harry Randolph Butler of Parkersburg; Her children, Cynthia A. Lockney and husband Michael of Parkersburg, Mollie Wolfe and husband Jay of Wolfe Summit WV. Rebecca Richardson and husband Dale of Parkersburg, Harry Randolph "Randy" Butler Jr. and wife Lori of Parkersburg and Susan Smith and husband Paul of Parkersburg. One Brother, Glen "Sonny" Sprouse and wife Judy of Belpre, OH. Her Grandchildren, Dustin Lockney, Jason Lockney and Elizabeth Lockney, Katie Tenney, Nathan Wolfe (Stephanie), Adam Wolfe (Jill), Abigail Wolfe, Amy Davis (Aaron), Anne Shamblin (Josh), Will Richardson, Amanda Butler, Emily Butler, Kaitlynn Smith, Hannah Smith, Alec Smith and Adeline Smith. Her Great Grandchildren, Ali Davis, Becca Shamblin, Joshua Shamblin, Jude Tenney, Elijah Wolfe, Mollie Wolfe, Jensen Wolfe and Adaleia Wolfe.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 1:00pm at the First Lutheran Church on 19th. Street with Reverend Ian Reid officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time at the church on Saturday.
