She was a member of Waverly Place Baptist Church for over 50 years.
She was the widow of Curtis Anderson.
Survivors are her sisters, Frances Hall and Georgie Howell, of Roanoke; nephew, James E. Howell and wife, Carol, of Marietta, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Bayse, of Roanoke and Joyce McLemore, of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Fair View Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Sellers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society . The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2011, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221.
