LIVERMORE, Iowa - March 16 — Mrs. A. A. Hewitt, a resident of Humboldt county since 1873 passed away at her home in Livermore Saturday after suffering for several weeks with cancer. For the past few years, Mrs. Hewitt had been in falling health and she died Saturday at the age of eighty-two.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian church of which the deceased was a member and interment was made in the Union cemetery at Humboldt. Dr. J. M, Wlggans officiated.
Born in Manitowoc Rapids, Wis., in 1849, Eliza LaCount Hewitt came to Iowa in 1870. In 1873 she was married to A. A. Hewitt and since that time has resided in the county. Her husband passed away February 1929, and three children have preceded her in death.
Her four living children are: Mrs. Mary Robinson of Durango, Colorado; Mrs. Faith Gates, Milwaukee, Wis.; and Mrs. Jeanette French and Weaver both of Livermore. She also has three grandchildren, Lewis French, Lucille Gates and Winfield Jones.
