Thomas Jeffers (Jeff) Davis, 80, of Winfield passed away suddenly Monday, he was the son of the late Marion Davis and the late Ella Blue Davis, a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church. Survivors, four daughters, Mrs. Loettie Chaney of Royal Oak, Michigan, Mrs. Alma Bowling of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Lottie Rhotan of Melivendale, Mich., Mrs. Athalene Davis of Winfield, son George Davis of Somerset, Ky., sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother, Howard Davis of Oneida, two sisters, Mrs. Della Terry of Elk Valley, Tenn., Mrs. Lillie Terry of Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services were conducted from the Pine Grove Baptist Church 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Howard Walker, Rev. Jennings Terry and Rev. Albert Chitwood officiating.
