HANNA -- Charly W. Walter, 80, a retired farmer and resident here most of his lifetime, died Wednesday at Pine Lake Hospital, LaPorte, after a six month illness.
He was born Oct. 11, 1891 at Medaryville. On Feb. 10, 1916 at Wanatah, he married Ella Breseke, who preceded him in death in 1962.
Surviving are a son, Harvey, Hamlet; and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Elder, Lakeside, Calif.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Frank Hill officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Wanatah.
Friends may call at Kosanke Brothers Funeral Home, Union Mills, after 4 p.m. Friday.
