Melvin E. Kramer, 90, formerly of Adamstown, died Jan. 18, 2011, in Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale.
Born Feb. 11, 1920, in East Cocalico Township, he was a son of the late Norman L. and Mabel (Wenrich) Kramer.
His wife of 62 years, Mildred E. (Sensenig) Kramer, died Feb. 25, 2009.
A member and former councilman of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Adamstown, he was a Navy veteran of WWII. Melvin was a self-employed building contractor of custom homes until retirement. In retirement, he loved building furniture and gardening.
Surviving are a daughter, Noreen E., wife of Philip Heisey, Harleysville; grandchildren: Yvette Haeberle, New Castle; Delyn Walker, Warriors Mark; and Joseph Mucerino, Douglasville; and great-grandchilren: Daniel, Ryan and William Haeberle and Victoria and Davis Walker.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Mucerino; a sister, Minnie Beck; and brothers: Ivan, Lawrence & Harry.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown. Burial with military honors in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds. Viewing on Saturday 1 to 2 p.m.
