PANAGOPOULOS -- Peter "Pete the Chef" Panagopoulos, 71, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all of Sandy Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 27, 2004 at his home. He will lie in state Friday, July 2, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Carlsbad with Father Mario Giannopoulos of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Albuquerque, officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Following the burial, the family invites all to join them for a fellowship meal at the Deluxe Cafe, 204 North Canal, Calrsbad. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
All roads led to the Deluxe Cafe, at the intersection of Highways 62, 180, and 285
