OVERLAND PARK Mildred Fern Sanner Eddleman, 88, of Overland Park, KS, formerly of Topeka, passed away January 19, 2011, at Overland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 22 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, O.P., KS. Visitation will precede the service from 9 to 10 a.m. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS.

Mrs. Eddleman was born December 10, 1922 in Arkansas City, KS the 11th of 13 children of Cyrus David Sanner and Myrtle Viola Davis Sanner.

She graduated high school from Foreman High School in Foreman, AR. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She worked as a teacher for School District #37 in Topeka, KS for seven years. After moving to Overland Park she taught in the Kansas City Missouri School District for 20 years.

She married Verlin Albert Eddleman on April 29, 1955 in Topeka, KS and they had two daughters: Vicki Verlene and Velerie Ann Eddleman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Eddleman, her parents, Cyrus and Myrtle Sanner, her brothers, Ralph Cyrus Sanner, Carl David Sanner, Archie Alexander Sanner, Paul Gilbert Sanner, Roy Dale Sanner and Elmer Earl Sanner; her sisters, Edith Emaline Richardson, Bertha Viola Anderson, Rosey May Woodard, Opal Elizabeth Sanner, Erma Senith Adkins and Doris Jane Poertner.
