Mrs. Goodson's Funeral Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Lou Bragg Goodson, 91, of Shady Spring, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel by the Rev. Ernest Barley.

Burial will be in the Goodson Cemetery at Abraham.

Mrs. Goodson died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital following an extended illness.

Born Sept. 15, 1881, at New, she was a daughter of the late Hazzard and Frances Bragg.

She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church at Abraham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. C. Goodson in 1970, a son, George, in 1907, a daughter, Mrs. Verna Jones, in 1970, and another son, Okey, earlier this year.

Survivors include two sons, Willie of Union and Everett of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Bertie Meadows of Shady Spring, and Mrs. Lottie Brash, of Beckley; a brother, Willie Bragg of Abraham; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Stacy of Abraham; 33 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and 48 great great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p. m. Thursday.
