Nancy Holland was the first wife of William Horn. They were married on February 26, 1800 in Edgecombe Co., NC.

After Nancy's death, William remarried to her sister, Mary (Holland) Sykes (a widow).

The book, "Kinfolks of Nash County North Carolina 1778-1854" by Joseph W. Watson [Pub: Fisher-Harrison Corp, Durham, NC, 1979] confirms the relationship of both Nancy Holland and Mary Holland with William Horn as follows ".......William Horn, for himself and in right of his late wife, Nancy Horn (formerly Nancy Holland), now deceased, and present wife, Mary Horn (formerly Mary Holland), and Henry Holland, all of Choctaw Co., Ala., and Louisa Holsell and husband, Samuel Holsell (sometimes called Hollsey), and Parmy Holland, all of Sumpter Co., Ala., were heirs of Henry Holland, deceased; they appointed Patrick Henry Simms of Wayne Co. as their attorney, Oct. 8, 1852."
