Wife of John H. Wilder

The daughter of Rev. William Jackson Owens and Serelda Lewis Owens. Born in Republic County, Kansas, can be found there in 1870 census.

"Mrs J. H. Wilder Dead
Again has death summoned from our midst one whose departure has thrown a sadness over the city and brought darkness and suffering to a home. Yesterday evening at 5 o'clock the spirit of Mrs. J.H. Wilder passed to the great beyond. For years she suffered from ill health, but even her most intimate friends were ignorant of the nearness of death until the dread summons was traced upon the features of the sufferer.
The burial will occur this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock.
There can be no higher tribute paid to the memory of the deceased than to say that she was a true christian and died in the triumphs of a living faith." (obit courtesy of Suzie Henderson)

In 1880 was in Precinct 7, Lamar, Texas.

On 19 Dec 1893 married John H Wilder at Ladonia.

Her infant daughter died in 1899 the same year as her own death, but as the obituary does not mention this presumably they did not die at the same time.
