Edward Thomas Chapman, 73, died yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock at his home near Calhoun.
Mr. Chapman, who was born near Columbus, Ga., in 1869, but came to Louisiana in 1894.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Irene Averett Chapman; two daughters, Mrs. Morgan Wyrick of Calhoun and Mrs. Grady Brown of West Monroe; three sons, W. W. Chapman of Monroe, Lloyd W. Chapman of Lake Providence and Orland E. Chapman of West Monroe; three brothers, Oscar Chapman and John Chapman and Pugh Chapman of Columbia, Ga. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the family residence near Calhoun this morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Knight pastor of the Calhoun Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Calhoun Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.
Pallbearers will be Morgan Wyrick, Grady Brown, J. D. Chapman, Ralph Chapman, Oliver Chapman and Garrett Chapman.

Chapman Rites
The funeral of Edward Thomas Chapman, 73, who died Saturday morning at his home near Calhoun, was held at the residence Sunday at 10 a.m. Rev. Knight, pastor of the Calhoun Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in the Calhoun Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Morgan Wyrick, Grady Brown, J. D. Chapman, Ralph Chapman, Oliver Chapman and Garrett Chapman.
Mr. Chapman was a native of Columbus, Ga., but had resided in Louisiana since 1894.
He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Morgan Wyrick, Calhoun, and Mrs. Grady Brown, West Monroe; three sons, W. W. Chapman, Monroe; Lloyd W. Chapman, Lake Providence; and Orland E. Chapman, West Monroe; three brothers, Oscar Chapman and John Chapman, Calhoun and Pugh Chapman Columbia, Ga.
