- CUMBERLAND,MARYLAND -- Mildred S. McMillan, 89, formerly of 717 Montgomery Ave., Cumberland, died Sunday, August 8, 1999, at Cumberland Nursing Center, Cumberland.
Born March 29, 1910, in Rockwood, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William W. and Edith (Meyers) Sterner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry K. McMillan, 1984; two sisters, Bernice Shaner and Floy P. Schriver; and one brother, John H. Sterner.
Mrs. McMillan was a former employee of Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Eleanor S. Proudfoot, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James McMahan officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
