Los Angeles--Mrs. Dorothy Lenroot Bromberg, former assistant US attorney and daughter of former Sen. Irvine L. Lenroot of Wisconsin, died in Good Samaritan Hospital Tuesday night after a 10 day illness from anemia.
Death came as her parents were speeding here from Washington by airplane. Stricken suddenly last week, she was removed to the hospital.
Mrs. Bromberg was the wife of Robert Bromberg, former federal referee in bankruptcy here. She was the first woman to be appointed as an assistant US attorney in the southern California district. She resigned last May for private law practice.
Before coming to Los Angeles, Mrs. Bromberg was prominently identified with politics in the San Francisco area. She also aided her father during the years he campaigned in Wisconsin. She studied law at the University of Southern California where she met her future husband. They were married Jan. 26, 1929.
