Mrs. Knisley became ill while driving home from Cleveland, Ohio, where she had been visiting a son, and was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cerebral hemmorhage in her home.
She was the wife of Woodrow W. Knisley, whom she married October 12, 1940.
Mrs. Knisley, a daughter of William and Goldie Kiger Black, was born May 2, 1918 in Franklin Township, near Waynesburg, and spent her early life in the Waynesburg area. She had also resided briefly at Philadelphia, and had made her home at Blacksville for the past 23 years.
She was a member of the Blacksville Methodist Church, Blacksville Temple No. 20, Pythian Sisters, and the auxiliary to the Blacksville Volunteer Fire Company.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons: James A., of Cleveland, Ohio, W. William, Jr., of Spraggs, R. D. 1, Jerry Lee, of Ambler, and Sgt. John E. Kniosley, with the Army at Fort Meade, Md.; a grandson, James William Knisley; a sister Mary Jane, wife of Edward Eustace, of Philadelphia, and two brothers, John L. Black, of Commerce City, Colo., and Frank C. Black, of Waynesburg.
One brother is deceased.
