WEST BLOOMFIELD - Edith E. Adams, age 91, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Ontario County Health Facility in Hopewell. She is survived by five daughters, Sheila (Clifford) Shumway, Dianna Olmstead, Carol (Douglas) Parmele, Sharon (Andrew) Ventura and Brenda (Larry) Golinsky; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Glyn Busby, in 1968, Walter Wegman in 1989, and Wallace Adams, in 1993; and son-in-law, Frederick Olmstead, in 2007.
Mrs. Adams was born in Farmington, NY on October 14, 1919, to Christian and Sarah (Clemens) Waterstraw. She attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1937. She enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics and making jewelry. Mrs. Adams loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. Her family was her life.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 26, at 3 p.m. at West Bloomfield Congregational Church, 9035 Routes 5 and 20, West Bloomfield. Interment will be in East Bloomfield Cemetery.
