MRS. SCHWANDT DIES AT HOME; SURVICES TO BE AT CHURCH
Mrs. Henrietta Vande Slunt Schwandt, 57, of 352 W. Scott St., died at 5:50 a.m. today at her home following a lingering illness.
The daughter of Peter and Ava Smit Vande Bovenkamp was born Oct. 10, 1909, in the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1918 and was a naturalized citizen. On Dec. 29, 1927, she was married to Tienas Vande Slunt. He died Sept. 10, 1947. She was married to Henry C. Schwandt Nov. 2, 1949, and he survives. Mrs. Schwandt was a member of Division Street Methodist Church, was a former Sunday School teacher and was a member of W.S.C.S.
Other survivors include six children, Mrs. Charles Schouten and Mrs. C. James Wallendal, both of Waupun, Paul Vande Slunt, Town of Metomen, Mrs. Lewis Norton Jr. and Tienas Vande Slunt, both of the city, and Mrs. Donald Bartelt, Charlotte, N.C.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lee J. Dolan, city; 28 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Mulder and Mrs. Herman VanGalen, Waupun. She was preceded in death by one sister.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Candlish Chapel until 11 a.m. Wednesday and then at the Division Street Methodist Church until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Francis S. Foulke officiating. Burial will be in the Alto Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Schwandt, who died Monday, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Division Street Methodist Church, Rev. Francis S. Foulke officiating.
Mrs. William Stellmacher was organist for the service and Mrs. June Koenig was soloist. Burial was in the Alto Cemetery.
