Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mary Richardson, who died Monday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock in a Jacksonville hospital, were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home Chapel.
The services were conducted by Dr. R.E. Joiner. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were A.M. Barnes, Winfield Stirman, Newbern Stirman, Bill Johnson, Eugene Spencer, Gaston Wood, Albert Stephens, Fritz Hawn and E.B. LaRue.
Mrs. Richardson, born on March 18, 1888, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sanford Blanton, had been a resident of Athens since her marriage to Ben M. Richardson on June 9, 1909, at Flatonia. Mr. Richardson died in 1913, and their daughter, Virginia Richardson Hopkins, died a few years ago.
Mrs. Richardson was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two brothers; L.S. Blanton of Kennedy and Jim Blanton of Colorado; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Kate Richardson; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. A.S. Ford and Mrs. G.C. Basham of Athens and Mrs. Jack Nash Sr. of Kaufman.
