She married Walter Louis Leake Aug. 30, 1922 and lived in Dixonville, OR, divorcing him c. 1931. They had one child, Helen Patricia, in 1924. Helen Leake married Charles Dean Glenn in 1932 and moved to Glide, OR where she lived until her death in 1975. Charlie and Helen farmed 365 acres of land (the Tom Shrum Donation Land Claim) on the east side of Little River. The center of this ranch became the present town of Glide after the bridge was rebuilt and the road changed from following the North Umpqua to running directly east to the Lone Rock Bridge in the late 1940s. Charlie adopted Helen's daughter, "Pat", in 1935. In 1943 all the property was sold to Carl Trued except 10 acres on the west side of Little River, called "Deerhaven", where Charlie and Helen moved and built two cabins. He and Helen separated.
Helen Glenn was an accountant for the Douglas Co. Farm Co-op and the Veterans Hospital. She was Deputy County Clerk of Douglas County. She became an Oregon-California real estate broker and the first woman real estate broker in Douglas County (Helen Glenn Real Estate). She served as a member of the Oregon State Water Resource Board and the LCDC Advisory Committee, working for governors Tom McCall and Bob Straub. Helen Glenn started college at Umpqua Community College when she was 65 years old to study real estate law.
